As you will know, Phase I of the refurbishment of St Mary's is now complete. It has been an unqualified success and revealed a truly beautiful medieval church and, as an added bonus, we have been able to meet the full cost of this phase thanks to the Community Spirit Appeal.
We are now moving rapidly into Phase II which is aimed at making St Mary's more available to our local community. This phase will involve building an octagonal extension on the North side of the church, reached by a short corridor through an existing door. This extension will provide amongst other things, an area for some 40 or more people for the use by the local community as well as the church, a small kitchen and much needed, easily accessible toilets.
