ADMINISTRATIVE
The Church Electoral Roll
-
The Church Electoral Roll is a list of those qualified to attend and vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM). It is the responsibility of the Electoral Roll Officer to ensure that the roll is revised every year and to this end it is displayed in church for at least two weeks before the revision takes place so that the details contained in it may be checked.
The revision itself, must be completed not less than 15 days and not more than 28 days before the APCM. After revision the Electoral Roll remains "frozen" until after the APCM.
Every sixth year, a completely new roll is prepared and all people on the old roll have to re-apply to be on the new one. It is believed that the next new roll is due in 2012.
