KOINONIA WOMEN'S FRIENSHIP GROUP
Newsletter – 2009

Greetings one and all,

Well, the Koinonia group has been meeting since April 2009 and not a month has gone by without more women joining. We now have 31 members and in the process have made new friends and developed new interests from the new associations.

As many of you know, we began in April with a very successful Fashion Show. We've met in St. Mary's Hall to enjoy the Pampered Chef, to listen to and admire the work of Magistrates, to appreciate Fine Wine and to do Easy Flower Arranging with lots of fun and laughter' along the way. Taking home with pride our newly acquired artistic offerings. Visits to Wickham Vineyard, the Stansted Garden Show, Chichester Canal and Chichester Theatre for the Royal Marines Christmas Show have all taken place. Before our AGM in April, other events are planned.

Many members have asked if we could have an evening when we could get to know people and have c chance to talk. So Inn on the Beach has been booked for a meal (Munch Bunch)

on the evening of January 29th. If you would like to come, please ring Marianne on 023 9246 6746 as soon as possible.

On the 9th March we welcome a local member of the Quakers to show us how the wonderful Quaker Tapestry explores three centuries of social history within 77 fascinating and unique panels, permanently on show in Kendall, Cumbria so do not miss the opportunity to see and hear all about this unique piece of embroidery.

There are limited numbers of tickets available for these events, so please book as soon as possible.

The February meeting, the AGM and future meetings will be held at Mengham Junior School. St Mary's Hall is no longer available to us and so the move to the Junior School has been agreed.

We are grateful to St Mary's PCC for allowing us to use the Hall on the second Tuesday of the month and we are sure they will appreciate the return to the warmth of the hall once again.

We have a number of requests to change the meeting night and after the AGM we ci;'t;, change to a Thursday.

We understand that some members have difficulty attending due to transport problems. If this is so, please mention it when you book your ticket for any event and every effort will be made to find someone to give you a lift. If you feel able to offer to bring someone, please let us know. Give Jennifer a ring on 023 9246 8810.
